الملخص:The challenge is to transcend to a circular economy (CE) model in order to seek environmental, economic and social prosperity. The objective of this article is to evaluate the implementation of sustainable practices in the CE model by companies in the agroindustrial sector in Sinaloa, as well as to analyze the challenges faced during their transition. Using a mixed methodology that triangulates the survey and the interview, statistical data analysis and discourse analysis are used. In this way, it was possible to elucidate how, in terms of investment, innovation and the proof of savings-benefit, part of this industrial sector is in an evolutionary process towards a CE. The findings provide detailed insight into the practices implemented by the companies, even though they face internal constraints and challenges inherent in the transition to such a model. It is anticipated that the knowledge gained can also serve as a catalyst to inspire other organizations to explore, learn and innovate in adopting their own methodologies in the quest to optimize their sustainability model.
