This is a documentary research in scientific databases such as EBSCO and ProQuest Central and academic search engines such as Google Academic Search Engine, Bielefeld Academic Search Engine, DOAJ and ERIC. The theoretical corpus is deployed on two relevant categories from which it is possible to access a historical understanding of the method. The first level recognizes its validity and importance as a research tradition, while the second emphasizes the preponderance of reflective thinking and the search for subjectivity as necessary inputs to read, perceive, form, know and transform the reality of the people who participate in the research and administrative work. |

Se pretende describir la pertinencia de la investigación-acción en la reivindicación del sentido de lo humano en la administración científica. La presente es una investigación de carácter documentalen bases de datos científicas como EBSCO y ProQuest Central y motores de búsqueda académica como Google Academic Search Engine, Bielefeld Academic Search Engine, DOAJ y ERIC. El corpus teórico se despliega sobre dos categorías relevantes a partir de las cuales es posible acceder a una comprensión histórica del método. El primer nivel reconoce su validez e importancia como tradición investigativa, mientras que el segundoacentúa la preponderancia del pensamiento reflexivo y la búsqueda de subjetividad como insumos necesarios para leer, percibir, formar, conocer y transformar la realidad de las personas que participan en el quehacer investigativo y administrativo.A pesquisa-ação é um campo histórico, intelectual e metodológico que, aplicado à administração científica, permite ouvir a palavra do outro, a partir de uma indagação introspectiva que evidencia o compromisso ideológico e político dos envolvidos no processo de construção do conhecimento. O objetivo é descrever a relevância da pesquisa-ação na reivindicação do sentido do humano na administração científica. Trata-se de uma pesquisa documental em bases de dados científicas como a EBSCO e a ProQuest Central e em motores de busca académicos como o Google Academic Search Engine, Bielefeld Academic Search Engine, DOAJ e ERIC. O corpus teórico é distribuído em duas categorias relevantes a partir das quais é possível aceder a uma compreensão histórica do método.
