Las mujeres rurales ecuatorianas diversas han tenido un papel protagónico entre los años 2011 y 2015, en el contexto del Gobierno del economista Rafael Correa, por su papel político y social en el debate político de sus derechos, del territorio y la defensa de los recursos naturales.
