Zusammenfassung:As part of the 2018 François Houtart Chair, we invited Professor Juan José Tamayo to reflect on the role of religion in gender analysis and human rights. The interview takes the form of an open dialogue between Tamayo and the two researchers, beginning with how the professor conceptualizes feminism and came to feminist studies, then moving on to the construction of masculinities, both liberated and “sacred masculinities,” and finally analyzing the relationship between theology and patriarchy, as well as the links between liberation theology and feminism.
