Determinants of the diversification of the Family Farming life strategies in Colombia

This paper measures the diversification of Family Farming livelihood strategies in Colombia and proposes an analysis of the determinants of diversification patterns. Using the statistical matching method to estimate household income structures, we found a diversification of livelihood strategies. A great heterogeneity of diversification patterns was also evidenced, consistently with the heterogeneity of both the characteristics and asset endowment of households, and the characteristics of the territories in which they live.
