The production of the material life of the residentes in the community “Córrego das pedras em Tangará da Serra” (Mato Grosso) in the context of the agribusiness expansion

    This paper is the result of a doctoral research in progress, titled: "The landsmen of Córrego das Pedras (MT): trajectories of life and memories of the land of work". We aim to analyze the social dynamics related to the survival of families living in mini and small properties called ranches, fertile land space, occupied in the early 60's, where they live and work, located in the municipality of Tangará da Serra, in the state from Mato Grosso, Brazil. The analysis focuses on the production of material and immaterial life, in a scenario of resistance to the advance of agribusiness. The research methodology is predominantly qualitative, with oral history and memory as methodological resources and direct interviews and observations as the main tools for data generation. For the present reflection, we chose to demonstrate the process of production of material life (production processes), its mutations over time and the current production format, which made possible the construction of a resistance, necessary for the maintenance of families in the field. The besieging families subsisted and subsist in time, in their fractions of land, producing and reproducing a specific dynamic of life. It is a space of resistance to the development model proposed for the state and region.
