Actualmente, el consumidor final es más exigente con la calidad del servicio eléctrico, esto conlleva que se deba recurrir a equipos eficientes o los elementos que mejoren el servicio eléctrico, se debe introducir cada vez equipos de protección y maniobra en las redes eléctricas para reducir el número de usuarios afectados. Existen varias alternativas para mejorar la continuidad de los servicios eléctricos, una de ellas es la denominada reconexión de servicio eléctrico, ya que se ha observado en varios estudios que el 85% de los errores de las redes de distribución no son permanente, después de un tiempo determinando se ha omitido el error, es decir, se despeja la falla. Con el objetivo de garantizar la continuidad y confiabilidad del suministro de energía eléctrica hacia los usuarios, en el presente trabajo analiza la ubicación óptima de equipos reconectadores en el sistema de distribución eléctrica.
