Alfredo Pareja Diezcanseco: escribir es un acto de pavor

The reconstruction of an interview done in 1988 allows the author to make an enlightened journey through the value of critical work, fiction and biographical history of Alfredo Pareja Diezcanseco, and to substantiate the contribution he has made to the Ecuadorian narrative in the 20th Century: the vanguard years, the 1950's and the time after the Latin American boom. The text highlights Pareja's humanity, and offers an example of the strange harmony that only great authors can create with the reader- «being touched and transformed by the magic of their words»
