However, this production is not often studied for its literary value, but more for its historic one, as an exclusive product of confinement. First, we will try to understand de rise of this poetry in, and from, the Argentinean and Latin-American cultural context from this period, and second, we will return to thinking about the status of the authors in prison, and therefore, of their poems. |

Los numerosos testimonios de los sobrevivientes que surgieron esos últimos años revelaron las múltiples actividades desarrolladas en las cárceles de la dictadura, en particular, la práctica sistemática de la escritura poética en casi todos los centros penitenciarios del país. Sin embargo, esta producción no suele ser estudiada por su valor literario sino más bien histórico, como producto exclusivo del encierro.
