Methodology: the paper employs a comparative case study approach. Administrative and journalistic sources are used to characterize the network of sacrifice zones. Conclusions: the article concludes that, despite the differences between modalities in waste management practices, whether open dumps or sanitary landfills, the territories forming this network are characterized by environmental degradation, institutional demands, and social conflicts. |

Objetivo: a partir de los conceptos territorios-red, de Rogério Haesbaert, y zona de sacrificio, de Steve Lerner, el artículo tiene por objetivo estudiar los vínculos entre el botadero de basura de Río Azul y los rellenos sanitarios de La Carpio y El Huazo. Metodología: en el artículo se recurre a un método comparado de casos. Para ello, se utilizan fuentes administrativas y periodísticas, con el fin de caracterizar la red de territorios de sacrificio.
