Methodology: To this end, a study sample of 237 consumers from the Red Agroecológica del Austro (RAA) and 237 from AgroAzuay, two of the most representative agroecological markets in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador, was determined. For data analysis, a one-way ANOVA test was applied using the SPSS statistical software. Conclusions: Under these conditions, the research results indicate that gender, level of education, and employment status significantly influence environmental awareness, while gender, age, place of residence, and employment status significantly influence responsible consumption. |

Objetivo: bajo esta premisa se desarrolla el presente artículo, el cual tiene por objetivo determinar si las variables sociodemográficas (sexo, edad, estado civil, lugar de residencia), socioeducativas y sociolaborales tienen influencia tanto en la conciencia ambiental como en el consumo responsable. Metodología: para ello, se determina una muestra de 237 consumidores de la Red Agroecológica del Austro (RAA) y 237 de AgroAzuay, dos de las ferias agroecológicas más representativas de la ciudad de Cuenca, Ecuador. Para analizar los datos se aplica la prueba ANOVA de una vía en el software estadístico SPSS.
