| Riassunto: | Characterizing the Solid Waste Management, both quantitative and as public policy strategy, this article presents a framework for judging the current situation of SWM implementation in Mexico. The article notes that this remains a pending task because the challenge involves waste management, the deficient infrastructure condition that characterizes the Mexican municipalities and because the implementation of the so-called Sustainability Model of Waste has generated significant regional differences, by geographical areas and settlement size, revealing the construction of a new geography, that of the environmental crisis related to the solid waste management in the country. |
