Riassunto:Oral health in children and adolescents is a key indicator of their overall well-being and is influenced by various risk factors that can trigger dental problems such as cavities, fillings, and tooth loss. The objective of this study was to relate oral health risk factors with the CPO index in children and adolescents in the Manta canton. A retrospective study will be conducted using data collected at the mobile dental clinic of the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro in the Manta canton during the months of May to August, 2024-2021, in a population of children and adolescents aged 5-14 years. Results: This project aims to demonstrate a correlation between risk factors and the CPO oral health index. Conclusion: The data analyzed show that 5-year-old children, especially girls, are more vulnerable to cavities due to a lack of guidance from their guardians and neglect in their diet and hygiene.
