Remote teaching and social networks: strategies and challenges to create learning communities

The recent coronavirus outbreak transformed learning processes, bringing them emergingly into virtuality and forcing educational institutions to develop strategies for moving towards remote education. The Social Web facilitated the technological transition and with the support of virtual learning communities made more flexible teaching environments and create different ways of interaction to reach academic goals. This essay, through document review, introduces guidelines for turning Social Networks into learning communities. Also propose the main benefits and disadvantages of Social Networks use in learning processes.
