Analysis of the financing system for small and medium agricultural enterprises in Ecuador

The research focused on analyzing the financing system for small and medium agricultural enterprises (SMEs) in Ecuador, aiming to highlight the challenges and opportunities they face in their pursuit of financial support. The study employed a methodology with a documentary and descriptive approach. The results revealed that agricultural SMEs in Ecuador face difficulties in securing financing due to high taxes and restrictions on guaranteed loans. However, opportunities such as the use of microcredits and the adoption of international financial reporting standards were identified, which could have improved access to financing. Collaboration between the government and financial institutions is recommended to develop policies that facilitate access to financing, thereby promoting these enterprises' economic contribution to the country.
