Tóm tắt: | Syria is a country that, although it may seem small on the map, it has had a universal influence not only because of its strategic geographical location that serves as a connection point between the East and West, but also because of its vast historical legacy that is a fusion of various cultures such as the Hellenic, Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman and Islamic culture, all of which grant it that unique character that justifies its own denomination as “cradle of civilization”.This research aims to make a historical approach to the facts that over thousands of years have forged a nation that is currently under one of the hardest human crisis whose origins date centuries ago, probably at the beginning of mankind. This research is the result of an investigation of secondary resources, stories, criterions from personalities interviewed on different media. A journey is presented from the sons of Sem, who populated Mesopotamia, between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers (where the first middle eastern civilizations emerged), to this day, when the influence of certain countries have turned this into a State that fights for full autonomy, even when that means being involved in violations of human rights and other crimes that have forced a large portion of its population to flee the country seeking refuge. |
