Summary:This work sought to establish the impact of the organizational climate on the work performance of teachers at the National University of Loja-Ecuador. To this end, an applied research with a quantitative approach was carried out on a sample of 247 teachers. A high level of the organizational climate variable and its dimensions was determined, although to a lesser extent in recognition; In addition, there was a high level in the work performance variable and in the teaching dimension; but a lower percentage was obtained in the dimensions of connection and research; It was also found that there is a direct relationship between the Organizational Climate variable and job performance. As a general conclusion, the need for the National University of Loja to generate institutional recognition strategies to improve its organizational climate is identified; and, guidelines are defined to increase teaching performance in linkage and research
