Sumari:This study has the objective of determining the effectiveness of the fiscal policies implemented by de ecuadorian government in the 2014-2023 period, with a focus on compliance with de fiscal rules stipulated in the Código Orgánico de Planificación y Finanzas Públicas (COPLAFIP). The methodology used was bases on a quantitative approach through a descriptive a correlational analisys with data from Banco Central del Ecuador (BCE) on revenues, expenditures and public indebtedness. The main results show that Ecuador has faced challenges in its public finances such as dependence on non-permanent revenues, fluctuations in oil prices and economic crisis caused by the pandemic. These problems have led to increased indebtedness and non-compliance with fiscal rules, in addition to por management of public spending, which has significantly reduced the allocation of resources for social investment. The ecuadorian government muts reevaluate fiscal strategies or measures, reinforcing expenditure control with an adequate execution of revenues, as well as adopting policies that promote productive investment in order to stop depending on indebtedness.
