Shrnutí:The agroecological diversity in which coffee bean production develops in Ecuador makes it possible to do research concerning the identification of more productive genotypes in specific production regions. The main objective of this study was to determine the agronomical, productive and sanitary characteristics of different genotypes from the Germplasm Bank of the Robusta coffee variety at EETP-INIAP. Statistical techniques were used for identifying more productive genotypes with the aim of selecting ‘clone heads’ inside and between genetically diverse accessions with features of commercial interest under environmental conditions of the humid tropic and rainfed settings. Our results showed a significant positive correlation (P<0,05) between production and other plant characteristics such as stem diameter, total branches, productive branches, branch length and number of nodes. In respect to crop production, COF-001 was observed to be similar to NP 3018. We found few differences between NP-3056 and NP-3018 and COF-01. NP-2024 was similar to COF-005. COF 004 was similar to COF-005. COF-002 and NP-2044 were different from other individuals. A total of 4 genotypes (COF-004, NP-2024, COF-003, NP-4024) were selected and recommended for commercial consideration under polyclonal farming, all of them reporting average yields above 7000 kg coffee beans/ha, along with good agronomical characteristics and pest resistance.
