Integration of archaeological heritage in the tourist offer of Jama and Pedernales

The objective of this research was to evaluate and improve the integration of the archaeological heritage of Jama-Coaque culture in the tourist offer of Jama and Pedernales. We first conducted a situational diagnosis to evaluate the existing archaeological heritage, and also the magnitude of its integration in the tourist offer of both municipalities. Subsequently, we proposed a series of strategic lines for the creation of a new tourism product based on the archaeological heritage of Jama-Coaque culture, with a focus on tourism development benefitting both tourists and local communities
