Beskrivelse
Summary:The objective of this research was to evaluate the yield of swiss chard (Beta vulgaris L.), planted in pots, after the application of different levels of organic matter (OM) and efficient soil microorganisms (EM). The study was conducted on the experimental campus La Teodomira, in the Agricultural Department of the Technical University of Manabí. We formulated 15 treatments from the combination of two factors: OM level (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100% of the total material in pots) and EM (without inoculation, during transplantation and 10 days later. We used a completely randomized design and analyzed these yield variables: plant height (PH), number, length and average leaf weight, and yield in kg/m2. The analysis of variance (AOVA) was performed using the StatGraphics Centurion XVI v16.1.18, with the Tukey test at 95%. The results showed a positive effect of OM and EM on the yield of Swiss chard. The treatments 50%, 75% and 100% of OM were inoculated with EM during transplantation and showed the best statistical results, significantly exceeding the values of the control treatment.
