Beskrivelse
Summary:Anaerobic digestion is a process of biological degradation which consists of four stages (hydrolysis, acidogenesis, acetogenesis, and methanogenesis) and aims to convert organic matter to biogas, biosol, and biol through a series of biochemical reactions. Anaerobic degradation technology has been used in the remediation of effluents from instant coffee industry, for the purpose of reducing its high pollutant load. This study aims to collect information regarding the danger caused by wastewater from instant coffee industry, as well as the remediation technologies to mitigate the environmental impact that it generates over the environment and human health. Technological alternatives are revised, denoting that anaerobic digestion applied under optimum operating parameters in a reactor designed on the characteristics of the effluent to be treated allows to break down high levels of organic matter contained in wastewater from instant coffee industry.
