总结:This research aimed to determine the response of fresh tuberous roots yield of three varieties of sweet potato (Toquecita, Guayaco morado and Pedrito), vine cuttings with different lengths (10 and 30 cm) were planted, with and without leaves pruning 30 days before harvesting. The study was carried out in Correagua, parish of Charapotó in the province of Manabí-Ecuador. The experimental design was 3x2x2 factorial arrangement fitted into randomized complete block design with three replications. Foliage yield, number and yield of marketable roots were statistically analyzed. It was concluded that, in spite of the non-existence of statistical differences among varieties regarding the analyzed variables, the variety Toquecita with vines of 10cm and without pruning stands out throughout the crop cycle. Nevertheless, it should be considered that the average of the marketable root weight increases whit vines of 30cm and without pruning (265g).
