الملخص: | There are some points of contact between Bolivian cholera literature –the most renowned in the subject– and the Ecuadorian. However, what distinguishes cholo literature in Ecuador is a justification for its debasement, which is sketched from the economic marginality to which it has been subjected by the ruling classes. The cholo is grotesque, upstart and renouncing of its roots; Like a beast, a dog specifically, it suffers the degradation of its name until it becomes no more than a denotation to refer to bad taste and the last seat of the society conceivable for the period: of the Indian, his dog. |
