Or they would better have to keep silent vis-à-vis theoretical object that they often fail to define correctly?. Social sciences must ask itself about the limits of its own saying. Language has borders that put limits to what can be say and what can only be shown. To transgress it can eventually lead to empty statements. Taking as a model the anti-philosophical cure proposed by Wittgenstein, social disciplines would significantly improve itself. Large doses of anti-sociology may be the most appropriate prescription for them. |

Large doses of anti-sociology may be the most appropriate prescription for them.El presente escrito contrasta algunos planteamientos del Tractatus logico-philosophicus, de Ludwig Wittgenstein, con formulaciones distintivas de las disciplinas sociales de nuestros días. En este campo, se avanzan con frecuencia tesis que adoptan la forma de proposiciones acerca del mundo social ¿pero dicen algo, o más les valdría callar ante objetos que no llegan a definir adecuadamente? Las ciencias sociales deberían interrogarse seriamente sobre los límites de su propio decir. El lenguaje tiene bordes que demarcan lo que se puede articular separándolo de aquello que solo se puede mostrar. Transgredirlos puede conducir al tipo de decir vacío que Wittgenstein denunciaba en la filosofía tradicional y que constantemente amenaza a las disciplinas sociales.
