This work objective was to investigate why the number of women at the Central University of Ecuador has increased. The methodology used was the quali-quantitative approach that allowed statistical data analysis from twenty academic periods of the Faculties of Medical Sciences, Engineering and Applied Sciences, Jurisprudence, Political and Social Sciences, and Philosophy. |

Los movimientos sociales feministas y los colectivos gremiales de mujeres enarbolan tesis reivindicativas en cuanto al derecho de las mujeres a participar y formar parte de los espacios educativos en condiciones de igualdad y no discriminación. El objetivo de este artículo fue la indagación del motivo por el que se ha generado un incremento de mujeres en la Universidad Central del Ecuador.
