| Summary: | This paper analyzes the construction of the eccentricity as a form which stresses the intellectual field of national literatures. From exile and cultural de-territorialization, a piece of Argentine writing from the 60s emerges from canon associated with the boom to define a hybrid environment characterized by subversion that affects not only the language but also the generic and political models. A comparative study of A Universal History of Infamy (1939) by Jorge Luis Borges and The Iconoclasts’ Synagogue (1972) by Juan Rodolfo Wilcock propose the differences that challenge established standards with regard to the role of fiction within historiography of crime in relation to the law and humor as a mechanism of critique that allows questioning the various forms of scientific, historical and aesthetic knowledge. |
