Evoca al ecuatoriano que celebró al país al dedicar más de una obra a nuestra forma de ser, a nuestra idiosincrasia y a nuestro sentido de nación. Estudió Filosofía y Letras en Cuenca, Filología Hispánica en Madrid y Letras Francesas en Provence. Miembro de la Academia Ecuatoriana de la Lengua, recibió varios premios y distinciones como el Premio Eugenio Espejo por su trayectoria y sus obras.
