| Riassunto: | Energy Commons in Colombia have become a tangible alternative to the climate crisis, as they redefine the role of communities in energy management and in challenging the dominant energy model. This research seeks to understand the dimensions that configure Energy Commons in Colombia and how these dimensions contribute to advancing a just and popular energy transition. Through a review of literature, semi-structured interviews with experts, and a feedback process of the findings with the team of CENSAT Agua Viva, an environmental organization that has been supporting these processes for more than three decades, four key dimensions were identified: the organizational dimension from its political perspective, the socio-environmental dimension, the technological and energy sources dimension, and the dimension of collective capacities. These dimensions help us understand Community Energies as processes that link social organization with appropriate technologies designed to meet local needs, while promoting the protection of common goods, the strengthening of collective capacities, and the importance of education and training as foundations for achieving energy autonomy. The main contribution of this work lies in the proposal of a preliminary conceptual framework that not only fosters critical reflection on Energy Commons experiences but also guides the design of tools for the diagnosis and recognition of these initiatives. This framework provides useful criteria for the implementation of practices and technologies, the identification of territorial needs, and the strengthening of collective capacities, contributing to processes of support and political advocacy. Ultimately, this analytical effort establishes a path of dialogue through which communities and organizations can continue to nurture their own ways of understanding and practicing energy, thereby reaffirming the popular and transformative character of Energy Commons in Colombia. |
