En esta investigación se presenta una revisión acerca del cómo los fenómenos urbanos de la centralización y zonificación se encuentran presentes en las bases del desarrollo de la urbe, y el cómo en la actualidad han generado una ciudad diversificada por diferentes aspectos socioeconómicos y de calidad de vida. Es mediante una experimentación artística que se busca darle cara a la contemporaneidad de la ciudad de Quito mediante diferentes ramas del arte como la fotografía, la pintura, el dibujo y el grabado, con el objetivo de plasmar la condición actual de Quito, su diversidad y sus múltiples transiciones que reflejen los diferentes fragmentes de lo que aparenta ser una ciudad rota.Throughout the city of Quito there have been multiple urban problems and phenomena that have directed the city's development and growth to the present day, giving rise to urban scenarios influenced by political, economic and social aspects. This research included a review of how the urban phenomena of centralization and zoning are present in the bases of city development, and how they have generated a city diversified by different socioeconomic and quality of life aspects.
