La metodología empleada en la presente investigación se ve dirigida por el paradigma interpretativo, con un enfoque cualitativo, de tipo descriptivo, con un diseño fenomenológico y una modalidad bibliográfica y de campo. La técnica empleada en el presente estudio fue la entrevista semiestructurada; asimismo, el instrumento fue el guion de la entrevista. La muestra fue constituida por dos docentes de diversas áreas, un inspector general de la institución educativa y una especialista en psicología del Departamento de Consejería Estudiantil (DECE). Los resultados de este estudio revelaron la presencia de bullying en estudiantes de bachillerato, destacándose el acoso escolar en sus manifestaciones: física, verbal, psicológica y cibernética. Se distinguieron características claras entre los implicados: el agresor, impulsivo y agresivo; la víctima, insegura y con baja autoestima; y el espectador, insensible ante los actos de violencia. En cuanto a la deserción escolar, varios factores la causan. El entorno familiar es crucial, ya que situaciones como la violencia intrafamiliar o la desintegración pueden afectar negativamente el comportamiento y la estabilidad emocional de los estudiantes. Además, la discriminación social por etnia, orientación sexual o situación económica refuerza la baja autoestima y puede causar el abandono escolar. Finalmente, un entorno educativo inseguro y la falta de motivación también contribuyen a la deserción.The main objective of this research work entitled: Bullying and school dropout, was to analyze bullying and dropout according to the educational staff of the San José 'La Salle' Private Educational Unit in the school year 2023 - 2024. The methodology used in this research is guided by the interpretative paradigm, with a qualitative, descriptive approach, with a phenomenological design and a bibliographic and field modality. The technique used in the present study was the semi-structured interview; likewise, the instrument was the interview script. The sample consisted of two teachers from different areas, a general inspector of the educational institution and a psychology specialist from the Student Counseling Department (DECE). The results of this study revealed the presence of bullying in high school students, highlighting bullying in its manifestations: physical, verbal, psychological and cyber. Clear characteristics were distinguished among those involved: the aggressor, impulsive and aggressive; the victim, insecure and with low self-esteem; and the bystander, insensitive to acts of violence. As for school dropout, several factors cause it. The family environment is crucial, as situations such as domestic violence or disintegration can negatively affect the behavior and emotional stability of students. In addition, social discrimination based on ethnicity, sexual orientation or economic status reinforces low self-esteem and can lead to school dropout.
