Como consecuencia, las quebradas y cuencas hídricas como el río San Pedro se ha visto afectado por una gran contaminación ocasionado por desechos domésticos e industriales. En el último censo realizado por el Instituto de la ciudad, aproximadamente el 15% de la población corresponde a las edades de 5 a 17 años, de aquí que, la población potencial para el desarrollo del proyecto se dirige a niños y jóvenes. Por consiguiente, se presenta un equipamiento enfocado en el tema de educación ambiental cuyo objetivo es dar orientación, educación y sensibilizar a los visitantes a través de experiencias sensoriales. El proyecto a proponer se centrará en el diseño de espacios interactivos, donde el niño o adolescente aprende jugando. Además, se trabajará en ciertos espacios interiores, así como espacios exteriores que involucren los sentidos de las personas, de esta manera, se proveerá una mejor experiencia con el entorno natural. El fin de este proyecto es incidir una concientización del medio natural y de los elementos que lo componen, como el caso de la cuenca hidrográfica San Pedro, de este modo, mejorar la calidad de vida de las comunidades afectadas e incentivar a prácticas ambientales.This project is located in the parish of Cumbayá, a place where population growth and the increase of industries in the peripheral areas have caused a deterioration of the natural ecosystem. As a result, the streams and watersheds, such as the San Pedro River, have been heavily polluted by domestic and industrial waste. In the last census conducted by a city's institute, approximately 15% of the population is between 5 and 17 years old; therefore, the target population for the development of the project will be children and adolescents. Therefore, we present a project focused on the theme of environmental education whose main objective is to provide orientation, education and sensory experiences to make visitors aware of this problem The project to be proposed will focus on the design of interactive spaces, where the child or adolescent learns through play. In addition, work will be carried out indoors, as well as outdoors so that people's senses can be involved providing a better experience with the natural environment.
