Análisis del posible impacto del Tratado de Libre Comercio entre Estados Unidos y Ecuador.

Each time the commercial agreements are protagonists within the commercial relationship between countries, these are intended to provide benefits, preferences and reduction of tariffs for the countries that reach this agreement, and thus enable the commercial flow. Therefore, the present investigation wishes to analyze and know what would be the benefits that Ecuador would obtain by signing the Free Trade Agreement with the United States. For this reason, the investigation has raised a hypothesis which seeks to find out if the signing of the trade agreement would contribute to the increase of exports of products from the non-traditional Ecuadorian offer. Likewise, 5 products of the non-traditional exportable supply to the United States were chosen, which are: flowers, fish preserves, metal manufactures, extracts and vegetable and processed banana oils. The selection of the aforementioned products was based on the relevant contribution to the national economy, in the trade balance, in the GDP growth and in the generation of jobs. As a result, surveys were carried out for companies in the sectors of the selected products, with the answers obtained; the statistical model was used the multiple linear regression statistical model and the chi-square test to know the incidence between the study variables, so that it was possible to demonstrate statistically the relationship between the variables, resulting in an increase in exports of non-traditional products through the agreement, and this would contribute to the economic sector of Ecuador.
