Resumo:The pathologies of the reproductive system found in female cats are uncommon, and when they are found the use to represent a low life risk for the animal, but they could represent a total or partial difficulty in the cat’s fertility. The present work was done as an observation mode being a non-experimental investigation, which objective was to characterize the pathologies of the reproductive system of the female cats that are more frequent during the spay procedure, which results are shown through graphics a tables with a simple statistic. The pathologies in the uterine horns of cats are of little concern for the owners because when they decide to spay their pets they do it for population control and if their pet shows any uterine pathology is irrelevant for them because the reproductive system has already been extracted. The results of the investigation showed that the 85 % of the female cats were younger than two years, which is why the young cats represented a bigger percentage of uterine pathologies; the usage of contraceptives increased the incidence of uterine pathologies like uterine fibrosis or cysts; mixed feeding and domestic habitat showed more cases of pathologies and the final conclusion was that the cysts and uterine fibrosis were the most frequent ones, representing 61 % and 5 % out of the 18 cases documented with pathologies, in contrast of other pathologies found with few incidence percentages like hidroovario, dystocia or pyometra.
