| Yhteenveto: | The objective of prenatal care is to ensure, as far as possible, that the pregnancy ends with a healthy child and a mother without complications. To achieve this, the ideal would be to start before gestation begins, by detecting and treating possible conditions that may constitute a threat to future pregnancy. To determine the degree of adherence to clinical practice guidelines for prenatal care in the Pujilí, Saquisilí and Zumbahua health centers belonging to the Province of Cotopaxi; From January to June 2016. A cross sectional, retrospective, descriptive and analytical observational study was performed. We analyzed 100 clinical records, distributed in the three health centers, through a checklist developed by the author, the degree of compliance with clinical practice guidelines was evaluated. The data were analyzed using the statistical software SPSS 22.0, results were presented in tables and graphs. The most difficult aspects of compliance with the guidelines were the gestational age at which the pregnancy was collected, the indication of prophylactic iron and folic acid salts, the application of the mother score and the delivery of the plan Birth. A plan of measures was designed to disseminate the content of the clinical practice guidelines and the training of the doctors by personnel experienced in prenatal care, in addition to establishing monthly control of compliance with these guidelines by reviewing the stories Clinics of pregnant women. In studied health centers, adherence to clinical practice guidelines for prenatal care was average, since it was not complete in aspects such as the gestational age at which the uptake was performed, in the prophylactic indication of iron salts and of folic acid, in the delivery of the birth plan and in the application of the score of mother. |
