Adicionar Tag | Resumo: | The following degree project was developed in Ecuador, in the city of Quito. This begins with the elaboration of an urban plan in the Batan sector, which proposes the elaboration of six microcentralities that contain equipment and unique qualities that identify them. The project set out the elaboration of a space for contemplation and crematorium which will be located in urban piece number one, which is located between the avenues: Eloy Alfaro, Rio Coca, Las Buganvillas and Los Laureles and is made up of the Batán cemetery and the Memorial Necropolis, making this a funerary piece. The project seeks to integrate the functions of the urban piece so that it provides complete mortuary services, in a different way and in turn seeks to incorpórate the funeral piece with the city. Cemeteries in the city of Quito have obsolete concepts about death. This project seeks to change the perception of the idea of death. Understanding the cemetery as a meeting point between life and death, and not as residual spaces that simply must exist. For this, an integration of the living city with the city of the dead is formed, thus being born, the space of contemplation of death. The elaboration of this space is a way of changing the conception of death and cemeteries. Likewise, it also encourages the integration of new cremation techniques that make the project unique in the city. |
