| Gaia: | Objective: Decide the prevalence of low back pain DEB in operational vs. administrative personnel associated with working conditions in the CaCO3 Calcium Carbonate production processes in the northern region of Ecuador in the year 2021. Methods: The present research corresponds to a cross-sectional descriptive observational study carried out in the first semester of the year 2021, to carry out the study the Nordic and working conditions questionnaires were used. Resulted: 40.27 percent of workers have felt discomfort from DEB in the last 12 months, 37.5 percent have felt discomfort in the last 7 days and 37.5 percent have been absent from their job in this period due to related symptoms at DEB, the results project a value of p smaller than 0.05 in postures forced by the work of their tasks, in addition, other prevalence’s were found in the neck and knee areas of p smaller than 0.05 in conditions of inclined work. Conclusions: The company's workers presented a 40.27 percent prevalence of symptoms associated with DEB in a population with an average age over 29 years, which has generated a significant rate of absenteeism from work in the last 12 months, due to possible factors such as posture. forced, the two populations studied present a high-risk factor since the activities they carry out prevent them from taking other types of positions within their working hours. |
