| Resumo: | The current work is based on an urgent need of Ediecuatorial, an offset graphic industry, to strengthen its processes and thus to face its crisis. This company with an extensive experience in editorial and advertising material printing has been affected by several political and cultural situations, mainly by the reduction of public investment and it has forced companies in general to reduce their budgets being the first, the one dedicated to the field of marketing and advertising. Likewise, it has been affected by the use of digital technologies that have replaced the printed media, this added to the public and private policies that, aligned with the ecological aspects, have promoted programs of paper consuming reduction, which have determined that the market is reduced. Therefore, these companies profits have been reduced in order to justify their businesses operation. Seeking alternatives, this type of business found a sustainable solution, aiming to take advantage of their skills and knowledge to enter the printed packaging market itself that has not been affected by the factors mentioned above since the consumer economy has remained. This work aims to strengthen the printing processes, the core of the business, using tools such as the FMEA Failure and Mode off Effect Analysis and the Control Plans, which order the Know How of the company to ensure the quality of its processes and results. Tools have been used to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation as the OEE Overall Efficient Equipment to determine the before and after the implementation. At the end, it is demonstrated that the level of risk determined in a first measurement of the FMEA has been reduced with the implementation of good practices established during the elaboration of the Control Plans. Later on the company will be able to implement under the same methodology the standardization of the others processes, especially applied to the packaging industry or folding printing. |
