According to data from the INEC in the north of Quito there are about 65,006 people suffering from any type of diabetes, but there are no specialized companies that offer a 100 percent ice cream suitable for them, there are businesses that make ice cream with some type of component for diabetics, without However, they also continue to use inputs that are not suitable for consumption, such as pork lard. For this reason we have seen the need to analyze the feasibility of creating an ice cream shop that focuses on offering ice cream for diabetics with 100 percent of its specific components for people with diabetes. The analysis of the environment and the industry where the business is developed is considered optimal. The analysis of the client shows that there is a need to satisfy, given that 90.57 percent of people are willing to consume and try an ice cream for diabetics sweetened with Stevia. Based on the customer is perception and based on the competition, the prices of the ice cream are set at 1.20 dollar ice cream; 3.65 dollar half-liter ice cream and simple cone ice cream at 1.75 dollar. The promotion of the product will be made through social networks, flyers, tastings and sales promotions such as the 2x1 that will vary every three months. The project requires an initial investment of 50,413.99 dollars. The capital will be financed by 30 percent with a loan of 15,124.20 dollar. Finally, it is considered that the project is viable since it presents a positive net margin of 8.14 percent in the first year until it reaches 18.79 percent in the fifth year. In addition, the NPV of the project is 15,234 dollar, the IRR is 32.37 percent, the discount rate in the WACC is 13.49 percent and the CAPM is 16.06 percent. |
