| Резюме: | Currently, the Larrea and Santa Clara neighborhoods, located in the center-north of the city of Quito, are in a process of population decline. This is mainly due to the fact that the sector has become a surplus of services and commercial equipment, generating a loss of identity in the area and forcing families to look for new places to live, which they decide to move mostly to the peripheries of the city, causing it to become more dispersed. The loss of the residential character that the sector initially had also produced a loss of vitality, since the area depends directly on the daytime work schedules during the weekdays. Thus, an urban study was carried out in which it was proposed to include new residential projects along with new equipment of adequate scale, so that they invite users to reside again in these historic neighborhoods of the city, providing all the activities and services necessary for Family and cultural development among users of the sector. Among the proposed equipment, there is the Exhibition Center. This project will seek to generate different cultural activities that, in turn, allow users of the sector to develop their own identity while a social exchange takes place between them. The equipment is not intended to be only a space for cultural dissemination, rather it is expected that people can be part of a process where they train, produce and experience new forms of artistic production for future exposure. It is expected that the project will be able to host different artistic exhibitions of several authors with a variety of styles, both from the study area and from the outside of this one, so that users know and make themselves known through an artistic-cultural process. |
