Add Tag | Summary: | The investigation thesis was conducted in the province of Imbabura, in the city of Ibarra, to find a feasible solution to the problem for goat milk producers, and seek the possibility of generating additional income to small farmers. It searches a way to provide an alternative income to farmers and reduce some migration from the countryside to the city. The only way to address this challenge is to form a partnership between all goat milk producers, through which they can access to protection and additional benefits. The unit of goat milk production based on the field is of 8 animals, with an output of 2.8 liters each. Each liter would be sold at USD $1 to the plant. The plant has a capacity to produce in a single shift, about 30 000 units of cheese of 200 gr each, monthly. The projected sales are of about 22 746 Kg which is equivalent to 75% of its production capacity. For the second year, production is estimated at 25,570 kg, reaching 85% of production capacity. |
