Propuesta de implementación de un modelo de pronóstico para mejorar la gestión del inventario de materiales en la empresa MACUSA INDUSTRIAL

The following Titration work is presented as a proposal of Implementation through different demand forecasting models for the improvement in the purchasing planning process to understand the behavior of each of the articles evaluated in the GMAW-MIG Welding Service. The MACUSA INDUSTRIAL Company. In the first place, an evaluation of the current situation of the company was carried out in order to identify the problem and thus be able to find its root cause, by drawing up a brainstorm, establishing the problem tree, which was subsequently elaborated. diagram causes effect, to then reflect it in a frequency histogram and thus know the cause to which we must attack. Then, the analysis of some models was carried out to later elaborate forecasts with SPSS tools. A comparison of different forecast models was also developed, in order to compare each one of the errors and then observe by graphs how the trend or seasonality of each item analyzed behaves. Later with the data thrown by the forecasts, we selected both graphical and numerical results, which are according to the needs to be evaluated, and also the list of materials that are used for the development of this service, generating the respective values for the initial inventories and the predicted demand that the company will have in the following year and maintain the existence of the materials to comply with the services just in time. Finally, the percentage of savings and economic savings prepared by the new proposal for the realization of forecasts is exposed.
