Beskrivelse
Summary:The Santa Clara neighborhood and Larrea street are located in the north center of Quito. This area is historically considered heritage, for its legacy of buildings dating from the early twentieth century where architectural buildings of great cultural value are evidenced, however, this archetype has been deteriorating and becoming in the course of time in a sector highly commercial, transit and vehicular garages, without taking care of the architectural harmony of its origin. By turning this sector into a busy and dangerous place has led to the displacement of families to other sectors less hustle and greater security, situation that has affected the decline of inhabitants in the sector. This study characterizes the current situation of the area, with the purpose of having sufficient elements of judgment to formulate proposals that lead to viable solutions. So a diagnosis of the area was made through a participatory research that involves architecture students of the UDLA and residents of the sector. For the realization of the proposal an analysis of mobility, space, public, land use, land occupation, patrimony, equipment, population density was carried out. The architectural project to be carried out as Titling work is a Community Center, which is located in the fourth micro centrality, which has as its vocation social welfare, the objective of the community center is to promote and ensure the social relationship between different users of the neighborhood. It is proposed that this relationship be given through different activities that can be cultural, educational, civic and even sports, so that both resident beneficiaries and visitors interact with each other, their empowerment and regeneration of the identity that the sector has.
