| Итог: | The evolution of telecommunications and mainly the continuing rise in systems which uses the IP protocol as a base for its communications technology, has led to a shift of the traditional infrastructure of independent networks to a single multi-service network in both public and private institutions due to the great benefits that this kind of networks offer to their users, such as the transparency on its usage as well as an optimum use by those operating the network. This project aims to design a totally new multiservice network for Akros Hotel to replace the current network, since it has a number of drawbacks not only in its administration by the staff responsible for systems but also has caused inconvenience in the commercial area which has resulted in guests complaints. The proposed solution includes all aspects related to services provided by the Akros Hotel; which involves subsystems included, such as Structured Cabling, Networking, Closed-Circuit Television, IPTV, IP Telephony, Control Access and Application Servers. Therefore, an analysis based on criteria and network research has been carried out. Both passive and active networks have been considered, the first of them includes all structured cabling elements, such as connection points, racks, cable management elements, conduits, fibre optic backbone, among others. The active network considers a star-topology divided into both core and access layers, whose external communication is carried out through a router with firewall protection. Application servers are connected to the core switch located in the Data Center. Finally, an economic analysisof current costs of all elements of the multiservice networkprovided by companies which are currently offering their services in the telecommunications marketis done. Whether the project is feasible or not is determined by calculating the IRR, NPV and cost benefit. Akros Hotel is responsible for making the final decision as to the design implementation proposed, which would be in the near future. |
