Zusammenfassung:This research aims to quantitatively describe the functions of the clinical and educational psychologist within the schools. For purposes of this investigation a survey was built based on the Modelo de Atención Integral de los Departamentos de Consejería Estudiantil, proposed by the Ministry of Education of Ecuador (MEE, 2014, p. 24-29) and on a research conducted in 2012 by Garcia, et al. (p.174). The sample was formed by 50 participants, 30 clinical psychologists and 20 educational psychologists. In order to assess the level of reliability of the survey, Cronbach Alpha coefficient was obtained through the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20.0. Subsequently, a descriptive analysis was done through Microsoft Excel program in order to analyze the level of fulfillment of the functions individually and globally in each category. Based on the results and analysis, it was found differences and similarities in the ratings scored by the sample of clinical and educational psychologists regarding the functions performed within the schools.
