Sumari:Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder known as ADHD is a childhood onset disorder and one of the most studied in childhood psychopathology, despite of that its etiology is unclear and its conceptualization has been changing over time. In our context, there is little research related to this subject that’s why the present research project seeks to describe the diagnostic methods and therapeutic approaches used by psychologists working with children diagnosed with ADHD in Quito. For this, we have proposed a qualitative approach, with an exploratory and descriptive scope with a design based on grounded theory. The sample that will be used will be homogeneous conformed by clinical psychologists, children's psychologists, educational psychologists and neuropsychologists working with children diagnosed with ADHD since this would allow to seek and deepen the information and data obtained from primary sources that are the different professionals who work with this population.
