Περίληψη:Universidad de las Américas has several laboratories in its different faculties. Students can make use of these for their academic and professional development. The Facultad de Ingeniería y Ciencias Aplicadas (FICA), has certain laboratories in which activities are carried out with network equipment, which facilitates the practices of the students of the careers like Redes y Telecomunicaciones, Tecnologías de la Información, among others. Currently, an adequate registration and control system is not managed, both for the inventory and for the use of the equipment. For this reason, the prototype of a system that will optimize and facilitate said tasks was created. The Scrum software development methodology was used to enhance the agility and effectiveness in the implementation of the system. It consists of a relational database in the MySQL server, which will have the record of all the equipment, the activities carried out with them and the users responsible for them. For the management of information and generation of reports, a web application was created, developed on the ASP.NET platform. Also, mobile applications were developed for the iOS and Android operating systems, which have the function of creating activities, in which the date and time of loan and return of the equipment used are recorded by a bar code reader. In addition, it is possible to enter observations during or outside of the activities. All this information can be retrieved or sent to the database through Web Services. Together, they form an efficient system for the registration and control of laboratory equipment. The prototype was implemented in the experimental Data Center of the FICA, where there is a virtual machine with Windows Server 2012 operating system, in which the database server, the application and web services are hosted. It makes possible for teachers to use the equipment registration system (SREQ) through the LAN and WLAN networks of the Queri campus.
