Producción del Cortometraje Amor al Arte

For the development of the project, the exploratory investigation method was used in order to fulfill the information that was needed to create it, because of the absence of investigations in this area, and also the explicative method was used for searching the relation cause-effect of this big problem. The development of this project, and the production of the shortfilm “Amor al Arte” has as primary objective to show the consecuences that brings the bad wage that ecuadorian artists are exposed to. The country has evolved in a huge way in arts development in a profesional field and this is caused by the creation of undergraduate programs in arts and the support to some centres that have as a mission to promulgate arts as the Arts University and the amazing job tthat the Sucre Theatre is making, but it is not enough , it is extremely difficult to establish a number in economic value that artist have to charge for the work that they do. The audiovisual product was recorded in the city of Quito and it tells the story of a ballet dancer, that in the lapse of its routine day has to face adverse situations because of its low purchasing power, which makes her believe that in the Ecuador she can not subsist from ballet. It is a fiction story of the drama genre in order to create a bigger reaction in the spectator and to accent the message that is intendded to convey. The results obtained showed that from the group of artists that took part of the investigation (musicians, actors, painters, dancers, architects and writers) more than the 80% agree that they dont receive a good payment for the artistic services they provide and this is a consecuence of the lack of a chart of salarys in Ecuador that refers specifically to the artistic sector in each art area in which they can support themselves.
