| Shrnutí: | This paper aims to analyze the transformation of bilingual education policy in Ecuador following the first mandate of Rafael Correa and the commencement of the Montecristi Constitution of 2008, an instrument that recognized interculturality and plurinationality as guiding axes of the reconstruction of the Ecuadorian State. Since the official recognition of Bilingual Intercultural Education within the state apparatus, its administration was in charge of the indigenous movement, this decentralization of bilingual education ended in 2009, when the Ministry of Education assumed the technical and administrative responsibilities of the bilingual policy. As a consequence, the bilingual education policy underwent significant changes, among the most important changes are the reconfiguration of public policy from a bottom-up model to a top-down model and the reconfiguration of the subsystem and its coalitions. This essay uses the Advocacy Coalition Framework as a framework for analysis |
