Adicionar Tag | Resumo: | This research seeks to know the current situation of regulation and control of drivers in Ecuador. Therefore, it delves into the main problems and explains the reasons for traffic accidents, as well as irregularities in the driver's license certification processes. It investigates how are the training processes for professional drivers and the skills acquired during this training. Possible solutions are also exposed to reduce the accident rate in the country, with projects such as the reforms to the Road Safety and Traffic Law and the National Pact for Road Safety. The research concludes that these projects to improve road conditions require the social and economic cooperation of the state to achieve the expected results. It is necessary to resume the training of drivers who obtain a type B license, since 99% of traffic accidents are due to human errors and 83% of these cases are associated with this type of certificate. Road Safety should be applied as a subject at all educational levels as established in the Constitution of Ecuador, as stated by several of the specialized sources cited in this investigation. |
